Utah Wills and Utah Revocable Living Trusts
What Is a Recovable Living Trust
A Utah revocable living trust is a method of ownership of property that establishes by contract how the assets owned or held in the trust will be treated. A living trust is an exception estate planning tool because it gives superior control to the trust maker on how the assets will be transferred and controlled during the trust maker's lifetime as well as after the trust maker's demise. A living trust is also a private contract. Assets held in trust will not be probated upon the dealth of the trustmaker.
Basic Wills
A will is a basis estate planning tool. Nearly every properly planned estate will contain a will. Unlike a revocable living trust, assets that are transferred via a valid will will go through the probate process. Many people prefer the ease, reduced cost, and private transfer of assets instead of probate and will therefore utilize a revocobale living trust as their primary estate planning vehicle.
